If you've got someone constantly monitoring your bike in case it moves in your absence then you don't need to watch our Monimoto 9 review
Customers widely praise the Monimoto 9 tracker for its compact design, ease of installation, and effectiveness. Many note its ability to alert them via phone call if their bike is moved, offering peace of mind. Despite some concerns about reception in low signal areas, the device is generally reliable, with good customer support. The tracker stands out for its straightforward setup, not requiring connection to the bike’s battery, and its low maintenance, providing regular updates and reassuring users about their vehicle’s safety.
Easy to install setup !
Seems to work a treat reminder every day everything ok !
Hopefully I will never need to track my pride & joy if it goes missing !!!
Easy installation. Alerts you to any movements. I also like the ease of use and charging. You pay a subscription after the first couple of months. The cost is small, and the product gives peace of mind.
Because it is not connected to the bikes power supply it doesn’t drain the battery and instructions say internal battery could last up to a year I will be happy if it lasts 6 months I feel that’s reasonable. Easy to fit and activate. Easier to hide as there are no cables.
I found it difficult to set up initially. Was it the tracker, my phone or my internet connection? Who knows?. Anyway having eventually set it up the tracker is easy to hide on the bike and seems to be effective. It certainly gives peace of mind but only there of the bike will really test it.
I travel a great deal and often park my bike in open car parks, I needed something that would give me confidence, Monimoto has done just that!
I worked for a commercial tracking company for 15 years so was aware of the differences between live tracking and the battery box option. Main reason I bought it was for telephone alerts if bike moves without tag and possibility of locating bike if it's pushed aways and left at a location where I can get to it. The unit works well even in my garage and it's small enough to hide on the bike with very good accuracy on the map. It gives peace of mind when parked at places such as services, hotel car parks etc. Not infallible but a non intrusive back-up to locks and chains. Easy to set up and use so would recommend.
Easy set up and two months free subscription. I think it is well worth the money. And peace of mind that you will get an alert if someone interferes with your Bike.
Great tracker. Sends message when armed. And call if bike is used without fob.
A very nice effective piece of kit to provide some chance of getting your bike back if the worse happens. The help line is very good and usually responds very quickly if you need any help with the set up. Given its rechargeable you'll need to find somewhere that you can have access to for re charging every 6 to 12 months, but without being too obvious to find. i've found somewhere accessible on my two bikes so i intend using on different bikes as well as the car. I also used some heavy duty velcro on the back along with a 3m stick on cable tie mount. The unit only has one set of fixed cable tie mounts but comes with 2 removable cable ties.
Testing is important to make sure you get the right level of accuracy when it goes off. Rather than just leave the fob at home and ride around i used a faraday bag in my pocket to block the signal then took the bike out for a good ride to test, when i was happy it was doing its job i simply took the fob out to reset the unit. Mine showed the exact bikes location within a metre or two and i'm pretty happy with that. So far its been a worthwhile investment.
Was impressed by how small it was IRL. Perfect, especially for a naked bike which has limited options. Love the fault message to confirm it's still up and running every day, great peace of mind.
I bought it a month ago and have been testing since. This is amazing little device, doesn't drain your starter battery it can be easily transferred to other vehicles.
The only disadvantage and a shame is that is not approved by motorcycle insurance companies. This is a lot better than hardwired tracking devices.
Works as it should and easy to setup and hide .
Gives piece of mind.
Bought for a new bike, just adds that extra peace of mind when leaving it that should the worst happen I wouldn’t be entirely blind.
Obviously it’s not a deterrent or protection, as advertising “oi mr theif this bike is tracked” will only mean all your plastics and your seat will get ripped off.
It’s not an “active tracker” so it won’t record your rides, notify immediately if some kid sits on your bike etc.. but it does what it says it will do very well, the user interface is sleek, and I have had 0 false alarms, so it’s not playing a boy who cried wolf.
10/10 would recommend, if you don’t want to spend 300+ on a live, insurance approved tracker.
Does exactly what it says on the tin in a small user friendly device. Minimoto App is also excellent. And, as always, Sportsbikeshop were Uber efficient.
Tracker arrived quickly, was fairly easy to set up with the app, but did take a little time to go through the setup. Nice and compact for installing.
It's easy to set up and works well
I bought one for my bike in February. I popped it into my car when in for a service. I told the garage and the guy collecting it that one was fitted. Nice for reassurance that no one was out on a jolly. Happy enough to buy this one for the car just in case it disappears one night. Money well spent.
While away on tour I’d like to be alerted if my bike is on the move without me knowing immediately. The Monimoto 9 alerted me by voice call over phone with follow up message location immediately when I simply moved the bike less than 10 feet. Small size so easy to fit somewhere other than the obvious (not under the seat), and doesn’t require battery connections. Why pay £10k+ for a bike and not protect your pride and joy with this relatively cheap way. No Brainer .. does the job!
This requires an active subscription with Monimoto, and also requires the Monimoto app.
