Brilliant bit of kit
15 Nov 2025 by Alan
OK, so no insurance discount but no sky high price either. Annual subscription of £36 and peace of mind when away from home parking in hotel car parks etc. Easy to hide on the bike and no wiring to deal with.
Will not pick up if he bike is underground or hidden in a container etc (needs to see the sky) but it will alert you as soon as the bike moves. App appears to work well.

The Monimoto 9 is very small and has a handy key Fob.
I can’t comment on how effective it is because my bike hasn’t been stolen but so far I’ve found it easy to live with.

Much smaller than the model 7.
04 Nov 2025 by Colin S
I have used these devices for around 10 years now and have never doubted their ability to track my bike.
Ive changed bike recently and wanted to try the new model on my RE Bear which has little space to hide it, away from the main frame.
The model 7 can now go into my car and I can run the 2 devices happy in the knowledge they are both reliable.
Customer service from Monimoto has always been very helpful and quick to respond to help when needed. Their ability to understand English is first class.
I find the price of annual subscription very tolerable and affordable.
I noticed this year, at last, that my insurance company have listed Monimoto devices as contributory to a reduction in premium.
I did try riding the bike to a local industrial estate, parking it up, and then sitting in my friends car so we could see it appear as missing/lost and then seeing the location appear on my phone within a few minutes. Nice little test to set my mind at ease.
Highly recommended and worth the price.
As always, service from "SBS" first class.

Peace of mind
28 Oct 2025 by Justin T
Since installing this tracker (which is very easy to hide and seldom needs recharging), I've had great peace of mind knowing that as soon as I step away from my bike, any small movement is detected almost instantaneously and I get a phone call. While this device won't directly stop theft, and should be used in conjunction with other devices like an alarmed disk lock, it's helpful to immediately be alerted of any movement. The daily notification confirming that the tracker is working is a good feature, settings are easy to modify, and the £36/year subscription for the cellular service is reasonable.

Can't fault it

After a mates bike was stolen I did some research and this was highly recommended. Although my bike is locked in a garage I'm not taking any chances. As usual came straight to sportsbikeshop and got it delivered the next morning.

Versatile bit of kit!

I already had a Monimoto for several years and it’s still functioning as new. Buying the newer type9 was a good move. They are very good indeed , but the best thing I think is the fact you can transfer them to anything in reality to give you protection against theft! Like a souped up AirTag but better as it doesn’t rely on everyone else’s AirTag to work( as good as AirTags are which are also brilliant. Monimoto defo superb!

Easy installation. Alerts you to any movements. I also like the ease of use and charging. You pay a subscription after the first couple of months. The cost is small, and the product gives peace of mind.

Excellent well thought out piece of kit
21 Sep 2025 by Richard S
Because it is not connected to the bikes power supply it doesn’t drain the battery and instructions say internal battery could last up to a year I will be happy if it lasts 6 months I feel that’s reasonable. Easy to fit and activate. Easier to hide as there are no cables.

Difficult to set up. But otherwise good.
20 Sep 2025 by Phillip T
I found it difficult to set up initially. Was it the tracker, my phone or my internet connection? Who knows?. Anyway having eventually set it up the tracker is easy to hide on the bike and seems to be effective. It certainly gives peace of mind but only there of the bike will really test it.

Surprisingly Good
15 Sep 2025 by Ron C
I worked for a commercial tracking company for 15 years so was aware of the differences between live tracking and the battery box option. Main reason I bought it was for telephone alerts if bike moves without tag and possibility of locating bike if it's pushed aways and left at a location where I can get to it. The unit works well even in my garage and it's small enough to hide on the bike with very good accuracy on the map. It gives peace of mind when parked at places such as services, hotel car parks etc. Not infallible but a non intrusive back-up to locks and chains. Easy to set up and use so would recommend.

Easy set up and two months free subscription. I think it is well worth the money. And peace of mind that you will get an alert if someone interferes with your Bike.

Great tracker. Sends message when armed. And call if bike is used without fob.

Peace of mind
21 Aug 2025 by Pete B
A very nice effective piece of kit to provide some chance of getting your bike back if the worse happens. The help line is very good and usually responds very quickly if you need any help with the set up. Given its rechargeable you'll need to find somewhere that you can have access to for re charging every 6 to 12 months, but without being too obvious to find. i've found somewhere accessible on my two bikes so i intend using on different bikes as well as the car. I also used some heavy duty velcro on the back along with a 3m stick on cable tie mount. The unit only has one set of fixed cable tie mounts but comes with 2 removable cable ties.
Testing is important to make sure you get the right level of accuracy when it goes off. Rather than just leave the fob at home and ride around i used a faraday bag in my pocket to block the signal then took the bike out for a good ride to test, when i was happy it was doing its job i simply took the fob out to reset the unit. Mine showed the exact bikes location within a metre or two and i'm pretty happy with that. So far its been a worthwhile investment.

Small and discreet security

Was impressed by how small it was IRL. Perfect, especially for a naked bike which has limited options. Love the fault message to confirm it's still up and running every day, great peace of mind.

Great, exactly what I wanted .

I bought it a month ago and have been testing since. This is amazing little device, doesn't drain your starter battery it can be easily transferred to other vehicles.
The only disadvantage and a shame is that is not approved by motorcycle insurance companies. This is a lot better than hardwired tracking devices.
