Verified Customer Reviews for Monimoto 9 Tracker
Customers generally praise the Monimoto 9 tracker for its compact size and user-friendly setup, which allows it to be easily concealed. It is appreciated for providing alerts via phone calls if their bike is moved, offering peace of mind. The self-contained battery is a highlight, avoiding the need for a 12v connection. Some customers mention occasional issues with battery life and GPS signal. Overall, it is considered an effective and affordable security addition. The daily status updates and independence from the bike's power supply are notable advantages.
Works as described, it is difficult to hide due to size, and you will need to get to it to charge it, so bare that in mind.
Bought this to enhance my bike security arrangements, its lightweight and wiring free with easy set up and app interface. Once you have decided where it is to be fitted it will need something on the bike to secure it to. I had to made a make bracket to straddle two spare fixing points to do this. Don't forget to test it with the fob not present and blue tooth turned off!
Very useful product. Coming form Monimoto 7, I definitely appreciate the smaller size that’s easier to fit in spaces and the usb c capability that doesn’t require me to keep changing lithium batteries which are a hassle and an additional cost.
Very very easy to set up. It is wireless. Had a bit of fun trying to find an orifice to jam it in. I’ve added it to a robust security system for my bike. It does give me peace of mind.
This tracker is small enough to hide in my motorcycle. The current annual subscription of less than £40 is in the lower range when compared to others with the similar functionality.
I've been receiving daily alerts on my phone to shown me the current status of my motorcycle which is very handy. I tested the tracker by leaving the key fob at home and walked away from my motorcycle. The phone call was received within about 30 seconds which promoted me to look at the Monimoto app where I could see the accurate location of my device. So far, I cannot fault it so all in all, I'm extremely happy with my purchase.
Easy to set up. Any movement of the bike and you are contacted. Great bit of kit.
This is a fantastic piece of kit that hopefully I will never need. Simple to set up, simple to fit. It just does what it is supposed to.
To coin an old phrase, it does what it says on the label. Easy to set up, cheap to run and just what I needed in todays world when some people will nick anything.
I already have a tracker built into my car, so having one of these on my bike was a no brainer! I already have a range of different locks that I have built up over the years, so l didn’t want to get another one. I thought the price was reasonable, l suppose trying to hide it on a naked bike was a bit of a head scratcher. As a biker in the uk l feel a target both on and off the bike, l just hope that if anything may happen, that this item will quickly help me find it! Who knows?
Easy to set up app easy to use nothing to dislike A++++++
Knowing the size of the device is useful before the purchase but surprisingly difficult to find a spot on the bike to accomodate it. Requirement calls for an easy access (for charging) & well hidden (for thieves) at the same time. With so many curves on the fairing and faff to remove major parts of the bodywork you may be scratching your head. Flat surface with no metal around facing the sky. The tracker has been installed on our Honda scooter but I just cannot find a spot on my Ninja 1K to buy another one yet.
Software was very easy to install. It has been registered on two mobiles and when the alarm is triggered, it can be viewed and canceled on both. This gives you an option for a second person usage if the rider cannot is unable to deal with the situation.
The Monimoto is an excellent little device very easy to hide and install and very effective at sending alarms on any kind of movement on the bike. Whilst not a real time tracker per se, it does offer the option in real time for location, it will give you enough time to disturb anyone who s trying to interfere with your bike and that s all I need and adds another level of Security to your armoury
Bought the new MM9, as my old MM7 died.
First thing is, as we all know it's a lot smaller than the 7, so you have a better chance to hide it. Set up was dead easy, and shouldn't cause anybody great hardship. I've received 2 updates for this device, already and I only activated it 2 days ago. The app has changed since my last MM too. It's another chink in my armour along with a Litelok to keep what's mine, mine. And, as is the norm, 5 Star service from the SBS.
Bought this after my previous cheap Aliexpress tracker failed me. While that one did go off when thieves were trying to take my bike, all it did was txt me, which didn't wake me.
The Monimoto has an edge in that it calls you once movement is detected. It's not the most fast or sensitive, usually taking 30 seconds - minute to call, but I have tested it and I think it would do what I need in a real situation.
Wanted a Monimoto 9 for some time now to compliment a disc lock plus the OEM Immobiliser just to give added protection and at £149 and delivery from Sportsbikeshop within 12 hours couldn't resist it. Small enough to be easily hidden on my MT09 using Scotch Extra Sticky velcro took two minutes to install and set up using the online app is very simple. Hope it never has to prove its worth but has given me that extra bit of Peace of Mind!
Simple to use, additional security at a reasonable price...
Ive purchased 2 of these and hidden them in different places on the bike, they are quick and easy to set up, although I did not use the included zip cord some heavy duty M3 double-sided tap made fitting easier. Overall, good quality, easy to set-up and easy to conceal.
It’s a nice size to hide in the bike with some heavy Velcro attached to it. On testing it alerts me as soon as the bike is moved, when the key fob is not near, and it also sends me an alert to say it’s armed after I finish riding and put the key fob in a faraday box. All in all I’m very pleased with it.
