Reviews We were given early access to Shoei's hottest new helmet... and here's our verdict

Customers consistently praise the helmet for its high-quality build, comfort, and advanced features compared to its predecessors. The design and improved noise reduction stand out, making it an upgrade in many aspects, though some find the new locking mechanism and chin strap user experience slightly flawed. Many customers appreciate the excellent ventilation and sun visor enhancements, though a few note the visor unlocking can be challenging. Generally, customers feel the superior comfort and fit justify the high price, making it a worthwhile investment for serious riders.
I recently bought the Shoei Neotec 3 Grasp TC5 and I’m extremely impressed. The helmet is incredibly comfortable straight out of the box, with a perfect fit that feels secure without any pressure points. The build quality is outstanding and definitely feels premium, exactly what you’d expect from Shoei. The Grasp TC5 design looks great in person, and it was easy to mount my Sena 60S using the adaptable mount, fitting perfectly with no issues. Overall, it’s an excellent helmet and ideal for longer rides. Highly recommended.
I wanted to buy a new helmet and the best I could afford. This helmet feels light and fits very well. I like the colour scheme and would recommend to others.
Been a fan of SHOEI helms for a while and this lives up to expectations. Lightweight, quiet and good ventilation.
Only issues for me (Not the helmet's fault) is I have the same size as previous SHOEI helms and feels a tighter. Hoping it loosens up soon as its quite uncomfortable on longer trips.
This is my 3rd Neotec. I really rated 1&2, and I’m disappointed with the 3. I’ve had issues with both the integrated comms and the neck padding/scarf coming away from the helmet within a year of ownership. Not one issue with my previous Neotec.
SBS were excellent at sorting out the issues, no fuss, speedy, satisfactory repair.
This is my third Noetec helmet and they just keep getting better l have been riding for 60 years now and by now l should know what a good helmet is. This is the one so give it a try.
Having tried a few flip helmets I found the Shoei neotec 3 to be the best fit for me, the product quality & movement are great quality,
Shoei have actually listened to Neotec 2 owners and the 3 is a near perfect helmet
If you head shape suits Shoei's.
The internal viser being longer is brilliant and how quiet it is is amazing.
Always had a slight whistle/noise from the left hand side, not loud, just there but the blurb about moving the internal visor mechanism higher... It just works ,noise gone
Cannot recommend highly enough - they are expensive - but for me comfort and quietness wins out
I haven't tried wearing this when riding the bike as yet due to the weather but it's interior is very plush and it fits like a glove. This is my third Shoei helmet and always find them of good quality and fit for my napper. This has proven the same. Excellent service as usual from Sportsbikeshop.
Bought this as a replacement/upgrade for my Neotec 2 helmet. Fit and comfort are excellent, quality is superb and in the grand scheme of things it's not too expensive. Quiet too!
My Neotec 2 which has served me well is due for replacement and after trying on a lot of alternatives I decided Shoei suits my head shape best, I tried it on and it fits well as expected without custom fitting, it's comfortable and apart from the visor lock and revised vent operation is the same but better. I value my head and as such getting this during a 20% off offer was too good to miss. These helmets aren't cheap but they are excellent if they fit your head shape.
Had a neotec 1 for 8 years, upgraded to a neotec 3 great fit nicely padded, better visor opening.
This is a very comfortable and quality helmet. I was particularly looking for a Shoei Neotec3 as I have had the Neotec2 for 5 years and was very happy with it. The colour scheme is great. I was going to go to Motolegends at Guildford for it but the price at Sportsbikeshop was too good to miss.
If I had tried this on in the shop I probably wouldn't have bought it, but the nearest Sportsbikeshop is over 100 miles from me. I dont like anything pressing on my throat as it makes me gag, and the seatbelt style clasp on this is pretty short. So its right up against your throat. However having now worn it on the bike its ok. In all honesty I think my GT Air 2 and NXR are better, but I wanted a flip top. One other reason for four stars is the sun visor was jammed and couldn't be returned using the button on the side. I was in two minds as to whether to return it as Sportsbikeshop dont quibble, but at that point I had removed the stickers from the visor and having used the visor a few times it seems to have freed itself. I added a Cardo adapter for £15 so I could move my Cardo to this. However the boom mike is a bit of a pita to fit. I found the cheek piece securing clip would keep pinging out. Overall its Shoei quality notwithstanding the lack of quality control on the sun visor. I would probably recommend trying it on in the shop though.
I tried a number of higher-end modular helmets and in terms of fit and quality of materials/finish, none of the others compared. I was so pleased to see SBS had this helmet on offer in the style and colour l wanted. SBS also came through on their pledge to price match, as l had found a UK company offering slightly more discount.
Was looking for a new lid SBS had 20% off full price .. I’ve used once so far. lid is comfortable the flip up is easy to operate compared to my previous lid ..the sun visor great just getting used to finding the slide to operate whilst riding.. I can see why these are popular lids the quality is brilliant and score 5stars on sharps helmet testing oh and a pinlock thrown in
The store assistant was very patient and helped me try on a number of helmets explaining the different between them. I liked the Neotec the most because of its comfort, safety level and ease of use.
First impressions after only one ride out very good quiet, well made , and with the offer from SBS made it more affordable, and have to mention the helpful staff at Boston.
Find it cheaper at any major motorcycle accessory retailer, online or in-store and we‘ll match it.
