Rukka Forsair Pro Textile Jacket - Black

The best summer jacket I've ever owned. Very comfortable on the hot days, allowing plenty of air to circulate. I went one size up and it fits perfectly. Great shame, for the price, that it doesn't come with a back protector. I had an D30 back protector from an old jacket which fitted perfectly, is didn't mind. Great service from SBS who price matched the item without quibble.

Initially disappointed as air flow not what expected but then saw on bikes display 30degC and realised how well the jacket was keeping me cool. Just need trousers now

This is Not cheap and some may say unnecessary for how much summer we have in the UK, However if you want something that going to protect you in the Hot days, this is the Jacket. I'm 6'6 tall, tried a few brand's on and there's nothing to compare. 4xl fits well. Down side is you think for the price it would come with Back Protection, hence the 4 *.

I was in the market for a mesh jacket for those rare hot days in the UK and for touring. I was fed up of feeling hot and sweaty.

I initially looked at the cheaper end of the market but read so many reviews which said that they are only really suitable for urban riding - so after reading reviews on the Forsair and the Klim Marrakesh I decided to take the plunge and get the Forsair.

I have not been disappointed. I went out on a warm day soon after buying it and if anything it was a bit too cool once I was moving - but that was fine I put a thin jumper on and it was perfect. I always prefer to be a bit cool than overheating.

It was so nice to get to the end of the ride and my cotton t-shirt not be soaked with sweat.

Put simply the jacket was VERY comfortable to wear.

Yes the jacket is quite expensive, but that's to be expected from Rukka; it's good quality and offers top protection. It's a pity Rukka don't include the back armour with the jacket as Klim does with the Marrakesh however as SBS had discounted the jacket this wasn't such an issue.

Plus the armour is a higher rating than the Klim's.

As far as I'm concerned it's an investment that will last for years.

Was getting fed up with overheating in hot weather and decided I wanted some mesh gear. After lots of research I decided on Rukka forsair gear. I purchased the jacket and trousers Both were a great fit and the quality is as good as Rukkas reputation would suggest. Quality materials and clever design make the cost worth it. These will last for years. The one thing that it dud need was a D30 back protector as none is provided I also later purchased some D30 chest armor too. How there is D30 armour in all other impact areas Airflow is second to none keep this in mind as this iis really a summer only jacket / trousers which is exactly what I wanted Great kit and very pleased.

Great jacket from rukka purchased for the hot days when I can't wear my rukka navala the forsair is a nice light mesh jacket that's cool with the best D2 armour did not mind paying for the D2 back protector to Finnish it off well worth the money

I bought the Forsair as I was fed up with overheating in hot weather. I've just given it a good test over a four day trip in heat up to 30 degrees C. It makes a huge difference and is comfortable too. The armour included is good but no back protector so you need to factor that in. All in all very pleased.

This jacket is the best hot weather jacket you can buy in my opinion. I was in the Leeds store, so tried on this and the Klim Marrakesh for comparison.
This is lightweight and every panel is basically mesh material with plenty of air flow. Quality make as expected from rukka and once on the bike and moving you can feel the air flowing through keeping you cool. Even when stationary it's material does the job of allowing any wind to blow through. It looks good and has the armour and reflective details you'd want, except for a back protector. I'd say in anything less than 15c you'd need a mid layer.
The klim was thicker and heavier than this and for me I might as well have been wearing a textile, although I still loved the quality of that jacket.
Only given 4 stars because it's massively overpriced and you don't get a back protector. However I really wanted this for summer commutes and rides out.

Excellent product, great product for light weight jacket as well as being cool to wear. Usual Rukka build quality. SBS manager at the Reading store was very helpful. Having worn the jacket a number of times now, I'm very pleased with the purchase.

I bought this for my husband as he wanted a summer/aero jacket. He absolutely loves it and gives it 5 stars. He has just been out on the bike on the hottest day of the year so far and felt really cool apparently. He also is very impressed with the armour.

A very well made and confidence-inspiring Mesh Jacket. The fit is quite accurate based on chest measurement. The D30 armour is held in place very well - especially on the elbows - and the abrasive-resistant reinforcing here and at the shoulders is superb. As advertised, it does not come with a back-protector. I already had a Rukka D30 long back protector and it adds essential back protection. I've done several hundred miles in varying temperatures and the airflow through the jacket is so effective that below 20C, you'll need something warm underneath. The fit allows enough space for a fleece. The tethered waterproof pouch in the left pocket is very useful for a wallet or smartphone.

Great jacket, Fosair says it all, it really does allow the air straight through, keeping you really cool on hot days.
I wouldn't recommend as your only jacket because I went out recently on a hot day and during the ride it became a bit overcast and I started to feel a bit cold, so might be an idea to carry a wind proof over jacket or liner. Having said that it is still a great jacket with good protection and I can't wait to get out riding in the sun .

I have yet to use the jacket in "anger" as it was a Black Friday ie winter purchase. I opted to buy the D30 back protector as well which seems to be a custom fit and is accessed (unusually compared to other jackets) from a zipped pocket on the lower side of the jacket. All materials and stitching is upto the usual Rukka standards. I look forward to using it when the temperatures are in a suitable range. Very prompt delivery by SBS despite the demands placed on couriers during the BF period.
