Arai VAS-V Type Max Vision PrecisionTone Pinlock Insert - RX-7 V / QV / QV Pro / Chaser X / Renegade

I bought this reactive version of the Pinlock as I wanted to have a tinted visor in the bright sun, but also sometimes ride in the dark. This was the ideal compromise, without forking out for Arai's add on sunshade system. It works brilliantly. The reactive tint isn't instant, it takes around a minute to change, but fine for what I need. As an added bonus, the view through the tint looks awesome. Colours are more saturated and depth of field appears improved. Highly recommend and worth the money, especially with the discount from SportsBikeShop.

We all know what Pinlock does re fog protection. It is a must for any helmet as far as I'm concerned. The photochromic aspect to this Pinlock Insert is a big plus for Aria helmets (because they don't have an internal drop-down sun visor). My one complaint is that the tint doesn't really get very dark. I'd like it to get a bit darker. But it does darken, and I'm generally very happy with it.

As per normal great service from SBS. Easy to fit and great advice from the staff. Does what I needed it to do.
