Eleveit Venom Waterproof Boots - Black

I bought the Eleveit Venom boots in early May 25 for a 3000 mile bike tour to Europe, including 3 days in the Italian Dolomites and 3 days in the Alps. The boots kept me warm over mountain passes (down to 5C), and dry through 2 days of heavy rain (socks completely dry). They are very comfortable to ride and walk in; the only criticism is that the gear level has started to abrade the suede upper, the rubber rand has started to lift, and a couple of the stitches have failed (I have contacted Eleveit directly to suggest a reinforcement patch be added to instep/toe area). Other than this I would say they deserve their Ride recommendation.

I needed a boot that I could use every day, my requirements include being waterproof and with an inside leg zip for ease of getting on , very pleased with purchase with an additional bonus of having a slightly thicker sole which believe it or not makes getting on the bike a lot easier added safety features with e chip , very comfortable

In my opinion these are a good looking boot and appear well made. I've got thick calves and they do up easily, some boots won't even do up around my calves. Also I have short legs and they fit well height wise.
I was a bit dubious about the use of newbuck for the upper but Amazon sell boot protectors that are a strap secured by velco around your toecap. That works well.
I can't comment on the waterproofing yet.
The only downside is that I find the toe cap a bit big compared to my old Alpinestars. However that means that there's more room for winter socks. I've had to adjust my gear changing technique but I'm sure that will become the norm after a few rides. Or I could adjust my gear lever to suit.
